“ The Chapel the name read and beer prices were mentioned on display which got my attention, filled with a library of books inside and mentioned chess club on wednesdays after 7pm. I simply had to go in. Everyone was welcome and all allowed to play with a mix of all age groups which was amazing. Super cool locals I would say. Staff was super amazing and the kindest souls, with as simple a gesture as to provide a glass of water without asking when they felt you weren’t feeling well ; which is hard to find nowadays. ”
“ Lovely staff and an authentic venue filled with old books and interesting people. It seems to change every time I go in there, so this weekend it was a more metal band/young crowd, but a mix of all ages and pretty friendly, though an extremely drunk guy at the bar fist bumped me then decided he wanted to fight me but was too pi****d to get off his bar stool. Idiot. Nonetheless, it was a great visit and I always look forward to going back. Highly recommend. ”
“ Pleased to see this place is still going. It's a quirky building and the pub is full of books. You can buy them, read them or ignore them. Beer is good and the atmosphere is Boho but not in an irritating way. ”

“ Excellent spot at any time. During Broadstairs Folk week well worth an extra effort to go there for a decent variety of acts. The choice of real ales is very acceptable. I had Wantsum Session Pale Ale. I would definitely have it again. The darling had a dry white followed by a Bloody Mary that apparently more than hit the spot. ”
“ Great combo of a pub and a library! It’s a very silent place to enjoy your drink with choices of more than thousands of book around you ”
“ Really busy during the Blues Bash - good range of drinks in particular ciders. Look forward to coming back and see what the bar's like another weekend... ”
“ Just want to say thanks to Sarah for making our late afternoon/evening at The Chapel so enjoyable on our day out to Broadstairs, it’s always been a favourite of ours, she went above & beyond & we left with 3 books, stomachs full of snacks & obviously a few drinks! We were there celebrating our wedding Anniversary & it was a great end to the day, so thank you so much, we’ll be back as soon as we can! P.S. Thank god all the Brew dog beers are gone! Xx ”
